Gypsy Beaumont is the youngest (in Savvy) and second youngest (in Scumble). She is a playful and cheerful girl who enjoys pretending. During the events of Savvy, she stays home and is only in the beginning and ending of the book, though Mibs will occasionally mention her. She is also the protagonist of the third book, Switch.

Gypsy’s savvy allows her to see the past and future, until the switch, in the third book in the series. In the final companion to Savvy and Scumble, the family’s savvies are switched around, and Gypsy ends up being able to stop time, the opposite of her old savvy.

Appearance:[]

Gypsy is described as "doll-faced" by Mibs.

Savvy:[]

Gypsy's original savvy was the ability to see into someone's past or future when she slipped her glasses below her nose. She learns she has this ability when she sees a vision of her brother Tucker in the future and a vision of her mother in the past. This happens on her 13th birthday.

When the family's savvies are switched, Gypsy gains the ability to stop time by yelling, "Stop!" She learns she can do this on accident when her and her siblings are told their grandmother is coming to live with them. Her brothers' new savvies start acting up and Gypsy yells "stop," hoping that will stop the commotion. Instead, she stops time.

Her ability to stop time does not affect people who have the same birthday as her (October 11), such as her friend Del or her grandmother.
